the tangibility of time & memory

oftentimes there is a disconnect between mind and body with narrative. this can make the act of remembering less accessible as time concertinas and loops back upon itself

in this exhibition, the opportunity to share and learn from these emotions and memories is made possible by representing them in physical form which encourages a reconnect between the physical and the remembered and enables us to reconsider memory and emotion from multiple viewpoints

each disc of stained porcelain and hand dyed felt within the loops represents a slice of time or memory. as a whole they communicate the way personal experience repeats through generations thus connecting us through lived experience and the collective consciousness
